Tesla-inspired Swedish X Shore electric boat is now coming to America, says an article on Electrek.
Tesla Model electric boat
Konrad Bergstrom is a Swedish tech millionaire behind the electric boat startup X Shore. He adopted a similar strategy to Tesla, focusing initially on high-end, long-range products and beginning with low-volume production.
Features
The X Shore Eelex 8000 weighs 2,600 kg (5,730 lb) and measures 8 meters (26.2 ft) in length. The boat features a 225 kW (300 hp) motor and reaches a peak of 35 knots (40 mph or 64 km/h).
The 120 kWh battery pack can charge on a standard charger in six hours or can quickly charge in one hour.
‘Smart-features’
The steering wheel includes all of the most common functions built-in, allowing for operation without removing one’s hands from the wheel.
Other features include smart sensors that provide immediate notification of any serious issues to the owner’s mobile device.
The boat operates its own low-power wireless network for safety and security systems.
