The $155M Ship With a World-First Underwater Lounge

According to an article published in the Financial Review, Le Champlain has made a stunning blue eye underwater lounge which is likely to impress even the most seasoned cruise-goer.

The  $155million worth ship has the world-first underwater lounge. Four more Explorer-class ships just like Le Champlain will roll off the slips over the next two years, each with a Blue Eye lounge.

The Grand Underwater Lounge

Blue, green and purple lights beam over me, reflecting off shiny black floor tiles. One step into the lounge will make you feel that you’re perched on a sweeping curved “body listening” white lounge, which is gently vibrating with music from the built-in speakers. Lest you imagine it as the VIP area of a futuristic nightclub, or that you have stumbled Aldous Huxley novel, let me reassure you.

It’s 5pm, not 2am, and you are actually floating off the coast of South America on day two of a Ponant cruise in the “multi-sensory” Blue Eye underwater lounge deep in the hull of French-flagged ship Le Champlain. And it’s far more exclusive than any nightclub.
