Thermal Oil System Failure

1937

On April 29, a container ran into a thermal oil system failure in its main engine and required assistance.

What happened?

The container ‘Max Producer’ loaded with 1991 metric tonnes of containers was enroute from Piraeus to an unknown destination.

The fourteen crew members onboard the vessel reported a thermal oil system failure in its main engine.

Reached nearest port on its own power

The container vessel thought suffering from a failure in its thermal oil system was able to safely reach the near port on its own power and is currently moored off Thessaloniki.
