On July 24, three port workers died and one worker was hospitalized after they inhaled toxic gas in a cargo hold.
What happened?
The vessel ‘Sepetiba Bay’ was docked at the Portocel port for unloading wood. The wood was stored in the cargo hold of the vessel and was treated for protection with gas to destroy termites.
