- TMC to Deliver Compressed Air System for Offshore Project.
- Contract Marks Repeat Order for CMHI and TMC.
- TMC Highlights Cost and Risk Benefits of Standardised Delivery.
The floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) hull will be built by SBM Offshore’s Fast4Ward® concept, which is focused on cost-effective, standardised FPSO building, reports TMC.
TMC to Deliver Marine Compressed Air System
TMC Compressors (TMC) will deliver a high-capacity marine compressed air system for the FPSO hull. The delivery will comprise compressors and air dryers applied to control and service air applications on board.
Repeat Order Highlights Partnership Stability
This delivery mirrors a previous contract signed in autumn 2023 between CMHI and TMC, reinforcing the ongoing collaboration.
“It is a repeat of a previous order, with the risk and cost benefits this represent for both the yard, shipowner and us as subcontractor. We have delivered multiple marine compressed air systems to CMHI and SBM Offshore in the past. They are pushing boundaries in terms of cost-efficient fabrication of FPSO hulls and being part of this effort helps to improve the entire supply chain, including us at TMC,” said Hans-Petter Tanum, TMC’s director of sales and business development.
System Designed for Offshore Efficiency
TMC’s compressed air systems are engineered specifically for offshore and marine environments, with a focus on reliability and crew-friendly maintenance. “Uptime of 100 percent is the target for our equipment, as this is the benchmark set by SBM’s impressive average fleet uptime,” Tanum added.
The financial details of the agreement have not been revealed.
