TotalEnergies marks milestone!
TotalEnergies Marine Fuels supplied seven hundred metric tons of B100 biofuel to the recipient vessel GLOVIS COSMOS. The biofuel was transferred from MAPLE, a chemical bunker tanker.
The B100 is a 100% Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester (UCOME) based biofuel that has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by between 80% to 90% on a well-to-wake basis.
Earlier, TotalEnergies Marine Fuels had been supplying Very Low-Sulphur Fuel oil mixed with 30% UCOME-based biofuel globally.
The TotalEnergies Marine Fuels has been supplying LNG and Bio-methane bunker fuel in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp region and Marseille, France since 2020.
In March 2022, TotalEnergies Marine Fuels first supplied biofuel bunkers in Singapore. Later, in 2023, the company launched its commercial biofuel bunker solution in Singapore.
