Tototheo Global and Neuron have announced a strategic agreement to implement Neuron’s AI-powered Quality of Experience (QoE) management platform on vessels contracted to Tototheo. This collaboration addresses the growing need for increased transparency and seamless service delivery as ships engage with multiple satellite providers and networks.
The Role of Neuron’s QoE Management Platform
Following successful proof-of-concept tests, Neuron’s QoE analytics solution, Neuron 360, has been shown to enhance connectivity robustness. It provides deep insights that can improve onboard connectivity operations and performance. The partnership will integrate real-time connectivity data from antennas, routers, and third-party systems into a single, vendor-neutral platform.
Benefits of Neuron 360 for Tototheo Global’s Customers
“Multi-network services are becoming widespread in commercial shipping, making it critical to have transparency on the performance management of connectivity,” said Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou, co-CEO of Tototheo Global. “Neuron 360 will ensure more uptime by providing visibility that simplifies and reduces the cost of resolving shipboard communication issues.” Neuron 360 will be offered as an additional reporting tool for Tototheo Global customers.
Introduction of Neuron Grid and Its Advantages
Tototheo is also testing Neuron Grid, an AI-powered network management solution that enables intelligent network orchestration across multiple providers, orbits, and networks. Neuron Grid integrates connectivity services from LEO, MEO, GEO, 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi into a single channel, routing traffic intelligently to ensure reliable coverage and optimal QoE while managing bandwidth and cost constraints.
Statements from Key Executives
“We see Neuron Grid as a valuable solution that will help clients reduce network management costs, free up resources, and ensure high-quality experiences,” said Ms. Panayiotou Theodosiou. “In partnership with Neuron, Tototheo will deliver a market-leading AI-driven solution for network management.”
“In the era of multi-network satellite service provision for ships, AI-driven routing selection will improve connectivity performance and eliminate the time and cost associated with manual interventions,” she added.
Future Prospects and Impact on the Maritime Industry
Benny Retnamony, founder and CEO of Neuron, stated, “Intelligent multi-provider, multi-orbit orchestration will unlock new use cases for shipping companies, enabling them to scale connectivity needs efficiently while maintaining high QoE and low total cost of ownership. Through our partnership with Tototheo, we aim to accelerate the future of smart shipping by bringing the Neuron platform to more companies.”
