On February 13, one person was killed and five others were injured when a cargo ship exploded in Hlaing Thaya township in Myanmar’s Yangon.
What happened?
The cargo vessel is owned by Family Win. The 200 ft long and 50 ft wide vessel was docked for repair at the shipyard in Industrial Zone (7), Seik Kan Thar street in Glaring Thaya township.
Flammable solution causes fire
In an unfortunate turn of events, one worker was killed and five others were injured when a cargo vessel exploded. The explosion occurred in Hlaing Thaya township in Myanmar’s Yangon.
The explosion was caused by sparks that came from an electric welding on the flammable turpentine paint applied to the cargo ship.
