Ultra Large Containership Runs Aground

An Ultra Large Container Ship ran aground in the morning November 26 while transiting Canal in southern direction, near Al Ismailiya, reports Maritime Bulletin.

The vessel, AL MURAYKH, belongs to Hapag-Lloyd. The vessel refloated soon after grounding with turgs assistance, and taken to Bitter Lakes, where she seems to be anchored at around 1200 UTC.

During the time of refloating and towage, northbound convoy was stopped and anchored in Bitter Lake.
