Valenciaport processed 492,874 TEUs in July 2025, a 6.88% increase compared with the same month last year. For January–July, the total reached 3.26 million TEUs, up 4.28% from the same period in 2024. Tonnage Slightly Lower Despite Container Gains
From January to July, APV docks handled 47.75 million tonnes of cargo (including fishing and ship supplies), marking a 1.06% year-on-year decline. The decrease is partly due to a 10% drop in solid bulk handling.
Container Flow Trends
The July data reflects continued growth in full container exports (+3.53%) and imports (+17.52%), while transhipment volumes fell (-2.23%), continuing the recent downward trend for this segment.
Ro-Ro Traffic Increases
Roll-on/Roll-off (Ro-Ro) traffic reached 8.37 million tonnes for the first seven months, with 318,650 ITUs (intermodal transport units) moved — a 3.65% increase compared to 2024.
Rail Freight Strengthens
Rail-linked cargo handled by Valenciaport totalled 1,929,762 tonnes between January and July, up 9.09% from last year, underlining the growing role of rail in port hinterland connections.
Passenger Traffic Update
Passenger traffic from regular ferry services reached 466,549 users so far this year, surpassing the 430,223 cruise passengers recorded in the same period — reversing the usual cruise-led trend in previous years.
