On August 5, a ship was reportedly involved in a minor collision after it collided with a lock.
The tall ship ‘Empire Sandy’ was involved in a minor collision when it collided with Lock 8 in Port Colborne.
Arron Jeavons, was on deck when the ship described that the vessel hit right side of the lock 8 hard after entering and then reportedly hit the back of a fighter identified as INA, a bulk cargo ship.
The officials at St.Lawrence Seaway have initiated investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident and no oil spill was reported.
