On December 24, a vessel reportedly ran aground due to a navigational error faced by the master in the river Danube.
What happened?
The vessel ‘Wodan’, was enroute from Passau to Straubing, ran aground on the Danube at Niederalteich in the Deggendorf municipality due to a navigational mistake by the skipper of the vessel.
The navigational error caused the vessel to veer starboard out of the fairway and the officials were alerted to the grounding incident.
Fortunately, none of the crew members were injured during the accident.
