VLCC Oil Terminal Unveiled for International Trade

According to an article published in Seatrade-Maritime News, Huangzeshan oil transfer terminal in Zhejiang province has officially opened for international trade.

Oil transfer terminal open

The 99,256 dwt crude oil tanker Krasnodar called at No.1 crude oil berth of Huangzeshan oil transfer terminal, Ningbo-Zhoushan port, marking the terminal’s official opening for international trade.

Huangzeshan oil transfer terminal is the first VLCC class oil berth in the north water area of Zhejiang province, which is a key project at Zhejiang Free Trade Pilot Zone International Oil Storage Base.

Terminal specifications

The whole project consists of one 300,000 tonnes-class crude oil berth, one 80,000 tonnes-class oil berth, two 10,000 tonnes-class oil berth, a 1m cu m crude oil storage tank, a 510,000 cu m product oil storage tank, and related facility.

A major player for transportation and storage

Ningbo-Zhoushan port is a major port for China’s coastal oil products transportation and storage. The port currently operates several oil terminals in Zhejiang, including Asia’s largest 450,000-tonne crude oil terminal at its Daxie port area.
