Wan Hai Lines held a naming ceremony for its new containership, WAN HAI A19, on 29th May at Samsung Heavy Industries’ Geoje shipyard in South Korea.
The event was complemented by a charity initiative, reinforcing the company’s commitment to social responsibility.
Twelfth Vessel in 13,100 TEU Series
WAN HAI A19 is the twelfth out of thirteen 13,100 TEU vessels ordered from Samsung Heavy Industries in 2021. The vessel is expected to be delivered in early June and will be deployed on the ASA service, linking Asia with the West Coast of South America.
Naming Ceremony and Blessings
The naming ceremony was officiated by Ms. Huifang Zhang, Logistics Director at Meiying Household Group Co., Ltd, who performed the christening rituals and bestowed blessings for the vessel’s safety and prosperity.
