Wärtsilä is to divest the Automation, Navigation, and Control Systems (ANCS) business, a global leader in advanced hardware and software technologies for marine navigation and automation. ANCS’s innovative solutions include Integrated navigation and automation systems, Advanced sensors enhancing safety and situational awareness and dynamic positioning systems providing precise vessel station-keeping reports Wärtsilä.
New Owner in Solix Group AB
The Swedish investment company Solix Group AB has agreed to purchase ANCS. This deal will mark a major achievement for the company as the new owner will give the ANCS a significant level of autonomy to allow it to flourish under a new leadership.
Wärtsilä Leadership Confirms Confidence in the Divestment
Tamara de Gruyter, President of Portfolio Business and Executive Vice President at Wärtsilä, commented: “ANCS is a leading system and services provider in marine navigation and automation. Timeline to Complete the Transaction
The transaction, subject to the required approvals, is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025. On completion, it will represent another step in Wärtsilä’s portfolio optimization process.
