The Pacific Canal Expansion is very close to completion. The three dams near the Cocoli locks were completed in the month of August. These dams help to increase the water level in the navigational channel by nine meters.
Watch the video released by the Panama Canal Authority. It shows the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal expansion where the strip of land, separating the new Cocoli locks from Agua Clara locks, is being removed.
