General cargo ship MURUETA under flag Panama, collided with pier at Barranquilla on 16 January 2019, says Maritime Bulletin.
What happened?
MURUETA arrived at Barranquilla from Netherland Antilles with cargo of salt. The ship collided with pier while berthing at Sociedad Palermo, Barranquilla, Colombia.
Both ship and pier sustained damages during the collision. The ship’s portside hull was damaged and its anchor was torn off (Watch video).
