Bunker tanker sank off Banyutowo coast, Dukuhseti, Pati, Central Java, Java sea, on Aug 14, reports Maritime Bulletin.
What happened?
Tanker reportedly, was under way, understood returning to Demarang from Juwana Pati port, central Java, after loading cargo of bunker fuel.
After engine breakdown she drifted aground, and partially sank, with upper superstructure remaining above water.
Rescue efforts
7 crew were rescued by local fishermen. According to reports, the tanker has some 120 tons of diesel oil on board, wreck is already surrounded by booms.
