Watch Container Ship Suffered Fire In Engine Room

Crew were evacuated, the ship suffered blackout. No news on present ship’s status, condition, but most probably, she either already towed or is under tow, to anchorage or port,says an article published in MaritimeBulletin.

Container ship HUA HANG 1 reportedly suffered fire in engine room in the afternoon May 13 ENE of Ningbo, East China sea, while en route from Taicang China to Chi Lung Taiwan. The ship issued distress signal, SAR ship BEI HAI JIU 101 (IMO 9654828) responded.

HUA HANG 1 last AIS position dated evening May 13. Judging from SAR ship track, HUA HANG 1 was towed to anchorage east of Zhoushan. Information (except that there was or is container ship on fire in East China sea) is not yet confirmed, details unknown, ship’s present status and condition also unknown.
