Recently, Maersk released a video of their COO, Soren Toft, explaining shipping’s climate efforts at the UN Climate Action Summit. The video described as “The climate crisis is real and requires urgent and collaborative action. The maritime sector is ready to step up to the challenge. The Getting to Zero Coalition will help accelerate the efforts to innovate, scale and design a commercially viable carbon neutral vessels by 2030” was released on 26th September, 2019.
