[Watch] Moment Royal Navy Intercepted Boat Carrying £500 Million of Cocaine in North Sea

On July 11, Two men who were in charge of a boat carrying cocaine worth £512m have been convicted of an international-drug smuggling operation.

Mumin Sahin, 47, and Emin Ozmen, 50, were caught after the MV Hamal was stopped 100 miles east of Aberdeenshire in April 2015.

The Tanzanian-registered tugboat was intercepted by Royal Navy frigate HMS Somerset and Border Force cutter Valiant about 100 miles east of Aberdeen last year.

Six Turkish men had been on trial at the High Court in Glasgow, and yesterday the jury found Sahin, 46, and Ozmen, 50, guilty.
