Maritime Bulletin reports of an accident involving offshore supply ship AMPI and gas platform B phase 12, at Pars Gas Field.
Vessel collision
AMPI collided with platform in the afternoon Sep 1, the ship was damaged, while platform is said to sustain no damages, or serious damages, and remains operational.
The ship was severely damaged – her hull was cut as literally, a tin can, from bow to superstructure. Luckily, it’s above waterling, or else she’d sink in seconds.
