The Sea Giant – NYK Hyperion, 2013 built vessel, is the fourth ship calling at Poland’s Deepwater Container Terminal(DCT), Gdansk, pertaining to G6 alliance. An extension of Loop 7 service has been made to the Baltic adding Gdansk to their ports of call. At Baltic, Gdansk is the only port having the capacity of accommodating vessels exceeding 13,000 TEU.

The service operates on the following route: Qingdao – Shanghai (Yangshan) – Hong Kong – Yantian – Singapore – Rotterdam – Hamburg – Gdansk – Gothenburg – Antwerp – Southampton – Singapore – Yantian – Qingdao. The alliance’s vessels will regularly dock at Gdansk once a week.
A major construction work is being carried out at DCT to double its handling capacity. The first phase expansion of the port will enable it to handle the vessels of 3 million TEU per annum.
