The Coast Guard informed that the tugboat lost its power and ran aground on the south end of the beach early Saturday. The vessel was towing a barge when the incident occurred. Investigations are underway to know the exact cause of this grounding.
Fortunately, there were no reports of pollution or collisions. The Coast Guard is broadcasting a safety warning in connection with the tugboat and barge.
