Tug sank after collision with tanker in La Plata port, Argentina, on Oct 16. Tug was assisting tanker to maneuver in port on arrival, understood, she was pulled in to tanker by tow line, hit portside, breached and flooded in a short time.
It is said, that tug’s skipper managed to direct tug to channel edge, to avoid sinking in shipping channel. Tug capsized and is resting portside on bottom.
