General cargo ships owned by the same company collided at Taganrog Port, Russia, Azov sea, reports FleetMon.
What happened?
A general cargo ship went out of control while proceeding to berth, and struck berthed the other general cargo ship at around 1130 Moscow time Jul 7.
The hull of the berthed vessel was breached in portside cargo holds area. Extent of damages under assessment, investigation under way.
Both ships remain at Taganrog port, as of Jul 8.
