Weathernews Inc. has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HD Hyundai Marine Solution (HMS), a subsidiary of the HD Hyundai Group, to optimise maritime operations, reads an official release.
Maritime operations partnership
The partnership will see the integration of Weathernews’s weather forecasting capabilities with HMS’s advanced vessel performance models.
Through this collaboration, Weathernews seeks to further utilise its extensive maritime data to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
Under the MoU, Weathernews will supply detailed weather data, while HMS will contribute its technical expertise in vessel performance modelling. This is expected to result in highly optimised route planning and improved operational capabilities for maritime users.
HMS also plans to use Weathernews’s data to expand its solutions portfolio, delivering enhanced functionalities to clients worldwide.
