On March 14, a wheelhouse was left damaged after it was crushed in an accident at the quay on the Mittelland Canal.
What happened?
The vessel ‘Nawatrans 1’ was left damaged in an accident at the quay of the UHH company in Haldensleben on the Mittelland Canal.
Furthermore, a wheelhouse was destroyed during loading operations by a shore based facility. During the accident, a crew member was injured and had to be rushed to a hospital in Magdeburg for further treatment.
Ship detained at the port
After the accident, the vessel was detained at the port until further repairs were carried out. The port has also planned to construct a temporary wheelhouse so as to enable loading operations.
