According to Anglo-Eastern, Windcat, a leader in offshore personnel transfer, has partnered with Anglo-Eastern for the technical and crewing management of six new Elevation Series Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs). These vessels, ordered in collaboration with Damen Shipyards, are part of Windcat’s initiative under CMB.TECH to enhance offshore operations while advancing sustainability.

Strategic Partnerships and Vessel Management

Windcat selected Anglo-Eastern Technical Services (AETS) to oversee the construction of these six advanced CSOVs, demonstrating a strong partnership that extends Anglo-Eastern’s capabilities in offshore renewable energy. The CSOVs will be managed by Anglo-Eastern upon delivery, further solidifying their collaboration. The first ship management agreement was signed on July 19 in Hong Kong.

Innovative Features and Operational Excellence

The 87-meter CSOVs, equipped with hydrogen-powered dual-fuel engines, are designed to remain operational at offshore wind farms for up to 30 days. They include advanced features such as active motion-compensated gangways, azimuth thrusters, and state-of-the-art living quarters with STARLINK-supported connectivity. These vessels mark a significant milestone as the first of their kind to operate on hydrogen, aligning with CMB.TECH’s commitment to decarbonizing the maritime industry.

Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation

This partnership reflects a shared vision between Anglo-Eastern and CMB.TECH for a greener future in maritime operations. With Anglo-Eastern’s extensive experience in ship management and Windcat’s leadership in offshore services, the collaboration aims to set new standards for environmentally responsible and efficient maritime solutions.
