Swiss marine power company WinGD has officially launched its comprehensive Global Service offering, significantly expanding its aftercare support for marine engines. Previously, WinGD’s direct support was primarily focused on the engine warranty period. Now, this new service extends to cover the entire vessel lifecycle, providing ship operators with continuous access to original parts supply, in-service support, and technical advice, reports WinGD.
Expanding Service
WinGD, leveraging over 125 years of two-stroke engine design expertise, has announced a significant expansion of its global service offering. This new service aims to provide comprehensive, on-time, and on-budget field service, technical support, and spare parts to its worldwide customer base.
This enhanced Global Service by WinGD complements the existing full lifecycle support already provided, which includes digital optimization, hybrid energy integration and management, and crew training solutions for WinGD engine users.
To ensure the service truly meets customer expectations, WinGD collaborated with key engine users on pilot service programs. By working directly with operational vessels, the service business was designed from the perspective of a global customer, prioritizing responsiveness and reliability. This will be achieved through experienced personnel stationed globally, technical support hubs in Switzerland and Asia, and spare parts deployed from warehouses worldwide.
