Wison And H2Carrier Partner To Deliver Green Ammonia FPSO

8

Wison New Energies and H2Carrier have joined forces to accelerate the production and supply of green ammonia through an innovative floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) facility in Norway.

This collaboration aims to combine Wison’s EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) expertise with H2Carrier’s project development and floating production competence, paving the way for cost-efficient, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions.

Leveraging Complementary Strengths

Wison will be responsible for engineering, design, and cost-effective construction of the green ammonia FPSO. Acting as an end-to-end partner, Wison plans to streamline project delivery, reduce risks, and accelerate time-to-market.

Meanwhile, H2Carrier will contribute its specialized knowledge of floating production technologies and value chain development for hydrogen derivatives. Together, the companies aim to minimize environmental impact by relying on proven FPSO and FLNG solutions that avoid large-scale land use.

Driving Innovation and Global Impact

The collaboration targets the delivery of a 500 MW green ammonia FPSO facility in Norway, positioning the country as a leader in Power-to-X (P2X) technologies. By utilizing remote renewable energy resources and focusing on standardization, the partners aim to lower production costs and enable global replicability of the P2XFloater solution.

According to Wison and H2Carrier, this approach will reduce project cycle times, improve returns, and strengthen the role of green ammonia as a strategic pillar in the global transition to net-zero energy.

The Wison–H2Carrier partnership marks a significant step toward scaling up green ammonia production while ensuring cost efficiency, sustainability, and replicability. By combining engineering excellence with innovative floating production concepts, the two companies are setting the stage for a cleaner energy future in Norway and beyond.
