With thousands of people on board, the world’s largest cruise ship arrived in Palma yesterday morning, says an article published in Majorca Daily Bulletin.
Biggest Cruise in World
Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise ship.
This year, it was completed.
It is the world’s largest cruise ship, weighing 236,000 tonnes.
Double occupancy
The Wonder of the Seas is 1,188 feet (362 metres) long with 18 decks and a gross tonnage of 236,857 tonnes.
This ship has a capacity of 5,734 passengers in double occupancy, with a maximum capacity of 6,988 passengers and a crew of 2,300.
Guests have access to 16 decks, 20 eateries, four pools, and 2,867 accommodations.
Longer than largest military ships
Wonder of the Seas is nearly 30 metres (98 feet) longer than the aircraft carrier Nimitz, the largest military ship ever built.
The small cruise ship Sea Dream II and the Norwegian cargo ship Triton are also in dock yesterday morning.
