World’s Largest FPSO Sets Sail From China

A massive Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) ship, the M026, has departed from a Chinese shipyard, setting a new record for the longest convoy on the Yangtze River. This vessel is one of the largest of its kind in the world, reports Global Times.

  • Size: 335.31 meters long, 60 meters wide, and 33.515 meters high
  • Production Capacity: 180,000 barrels of oil per day
  • Gas Processing Capacity: 12 million standard cubic meters of natural gas per day
  • Oil Storage Capacity: 1.4 million barrels of crude oil

Destination

The M026 FPSO is set to be deployed in an ultra-deep-water oil development project in Brazil.

Builder

COSCO (Qidong) Offshore Engineering Co., a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., constructed this impressive vessel.
