The world’s largest sailing yacht, Orient Express Corinthian, is set to begin its inaugural journey on June 6, 2026, reports Robb Report.

The luxurious vessel, measuring 220 meters (722 feet) in length, has been built in collaboration between Chantiers de l’Atlantique and Orient Express (Accor).

It has been designed with the amalgamation of elegance, innovation and sustainability. The yacht will navigate the French and Italian Rivieras, as well as the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas.

The reservations for the first voyages will open on March 25, 2025, allowing travel agents to begin bookings for guests eager to experience it.

Orient Express launches world’s largest yacht next summer

Orient Express Corinthian stands out for its three towering masts, which support 1,500 square meters (16,145 square feet) of rigid sails.

The yacht is the first of its kind to feature the SolidSail propulsion system, an advanced technology that optimises wind energy for efficient sailing.

It is supported by a hybrid propulsion system powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), greatly reducing emissions compared to conventional fuels.

The yacht is equipped with an AI-driven detection system designed to minimise the risk of marine mammal collisions. The dynamic positioning technology removes the need for anchoring, helping preserve delicate marine environments.

Guests onboard can access a wide range of up to 54 luxury suites, including a 225-square meter Agatha Christie Suite, a two bedroom accommodation with a massive 180-square meter balcony.

Other suite types include the Appartment Prestige, Appartment Superieur, Libeccio, Meltem, Mistral, Suite Duplex, Suite Panoramique, Suite Terrasse Prestige, Scirocco, Zephyr.

The yacht offers multiple high-end dining options, including La Table de l’Orient Express, led by Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alleno, and La Terrasse.

Other features include a Guerain spa, a movie theater, a library, a games room, and a recording studio. Guests will also have access to a marina for water sports.

The maiden voyage will commence from Marseille on June 6, 2026, with a six-night itinerary to Cannes and St. Tropez, allowing guests to spend three nights at each location.

A second voyage, starting on June 12, 2026, will be a seven-night Corsica & Liguria cruise, covering Propriano, Calvi, Saint Florent, Lerici, and Monte-Carlo.
