In a meeting of unprecedented proportions , the three largest cruise ships in the world have ‘met’ for the first time in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 4.

The Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis-class ships, Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas and the new Harmony of the Seas, struck a chord, greeting each other at sea for the first and possibly only time.

The three record-breaking sisters came together to celebrate the U.S. arrival of Harmony of the Seas on the eve of the ship’s debut in her new permanent homeport of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Each vessel has over 2,747 ‘state rooms’, and can berth between 6,700 and 7,148 passengers.

A fourth, as-yet unnamed, Oasis-class ship is currently being constructed at the same STX Saint-Nazaire shipyards near Nantes, France, where both its predecessors were built.

It is due to set sail in 2018.
