Wuhu Shipyard Bags Order for 6,600 dwt Methanol Dual-fuel Ship Quartet

Wuhu Shipyard has signed four 6,600 dwt methanol dual-fuel ship construction contracts with foreign customers, reports Xinde Marine News.

This series of ships is an optimized and upgraded version of the 6,600 dwt DC electric duplex stainless steel intelligent chemical tanker built by the company for Dingheng Group.

Moving towards green and low-carbon development

The main power of the upgraded 6,600 dwt methanol dual-fuel ship adopts methanol, diesel, and DC power distribution propulsion. The electric propulsion system is upgraded, and the carbon oxides are reduced by 96%, the hydrocarbons are reduced by 99%, and the smoke is reduced by 54%. The advantages of green shipping and economic energy saving of ships are still in the leading position in the world.
