Xu Peng has been appointed as the new chairman of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), replacing his predecessor Wen Gang, reports Lloyd’s List.
New Chairman
Xu Peng, the former head of China First Heavy Industries, has been appointed as the new chairman of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), the world’s largest shipbuilding group.
Xu succeeds Wen Donghe, who was recently removed from the position. Xu brings extensive experience to the role, having served as president and chairman of China First Heavy Industries. CSSC is a major player in the global shipbuilding industry, accounting for approximately 20% of the global order backlog.
