Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Secures New Orders For 37 Vessels

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has secured new orders for 37 vessels as of 26 June. Year-to-date, Yangzijiang has secured new orders for 69 vessels worth US$5.6b, already exceeding its 2023 target of US$3b.

It has also now achieved its highest ever total outstanding orderbook value of US$14.6b for 180 vessels, Yangzijiang said in an SGX filing.

For the latest round of new orders, a total of 16 of the vessels are containerships, 11 are oil tankers, and 10 are bulk carriers.

Vessel specifications

Of the containerships, 2 are 8,000TEU, 4 are methanol dual-fuel with 950TEU, and 10 are LNG dual-fuel 24,000TEU vessels.

Of the oil tankers, 6 are 50,000DWT MR vessels, 4 are 75,000DWT LR1 vessels, and there is a single order for a 114,000DWT LR2 tanker.

Finally, the 10 bulk carriers are all 82,500DWT vessels.
