Fire on a new cruise ship delays her inaugural voyage.

The 125,000 gt cruise ship at Mitsubishi shipyard in Nagasaki is reported to have an electrical fire in a compartment.  The fire was completely contained by the shipyard’s fire brigade and local authorities.

Shipyard workers and crew were evacuated and no injuries were reported.

At 2030 hours local time on January 11 sudden fire triggered the ship’s fire alarm.  This incident might delay her inaugural voyage.

This vessel was scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2015 which was moved to second half.  The vessel  just completed her third set of sea trials.

The high volume of design work and the difficulties involved in construction of prototype delayed her delivery.
