Swinoujscie LNG Receiving Terminal at Poland received its first LNG Cargo on Friday. It is a major milestone in Poland’s effort to diversify its gas supply sources and reduce its dependence on Russia.
Qatargas-chartered Q-Flex vessel Al-Nuaman carrying 210,000 cubic meters of LNG arrived at the terminal on Friday delivering the cargo to the Swinoujscie LNG Receiving Terminal.
The vessel is the first of the two planned cargoes that will be supplied by Qatargas for the cool-down and commissioning of the Polish LNG Receiving Terminal. Under a 20-year contract with PGNiG (Polish Oil and Gas), QatarGas will supply one million tons of LNG to the Receiving Terminal in Swinoujscie annually.
