- MSC announced its Golden Horn service, complementing its existing intra-Asia network and linking China, Korea and the east Russia coast, effective from week 34.
- The Golden Horn is a weekly service that will connect the largest container terminal in eastern Russia, Vostochniy, with the biggest container ports in China and South Korea.
- With the Golden Horn, MSC customers will benefit from one of the most important rail gateways linking the Far East to Europe via Vladivostok.
- The full port rotation is: Vladivostok – Vostochniy – Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Busan – Vladivostok.
MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has introduced Golden Horn to connect China and South Korea with the east coast of Russia, reads the company’s website.
The service will complement the company’s current intra-Asia network.
Largest terminals to largest ports
The new weekly service will connect the largest container terminal in Vostochniy in eastern Russia with the largest container ports in China and South Korea.
The company said that its customers will benefit from one of the most important rail gateways to connect the Far East to Europe through Vladivostok.
- The first sailing on the Golden Horn will be MSC Nora HX 034R, ETA Shanghai on 19 August.
- The port rotation will be Vladivostok – Vostochniy – Busan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Busan – Vladivostok.
- Last month, MSC announced that it has increased its short-sea and intermodal offerings to serve the Italian cargo market.
- The shipping line provides the widest port coverage in Italy, which includes seven direct ports of call that are near the northern industrial area of the country.
