“K” Line is expanding the installation of its Kawasaki Integrated Maritime Solutions performance management system to include chartered vessels, says a press release published on their website.

“K” Line has announced that it is expanding the installation of its Kawasaki Integrated Maritime Solutions performance management system to include chartered vessels.
“K” Line in a statement issued on 5th January, said that the system – which was released in 2016 – has already been installed on about 140, mainly owned, vessels in its fleet.
Maintain and manage fuel efficiency
The system includes a range of applications which “K” Line says help to ‘maintain and manage fuel efficiency’ and provide ‘optimum navigation support to maintain safe and economical routing’.
Data shared to owners too
“From now on, obtained big data and information will be shared by not only operator but also ship owner and ship manager through a common platform in the cloud and can be monitored with multiple eyes to accelerate elaborated vessel operation and management.”
Through this expansion, “K” LINE will make safe, environment-friendly, more solid and highly qualified operations on their fleets.
