A general cargo vessel leaked oil during bunkering operations in Elevsis on 26th January 2016. The leak occurred when a tanker vessel was transferring fuel to the cargo ship. An oil slick of some 100 square meters was to be removed by a cleanup company.
Authorities have held the masters and chief engineers of both the vessels for investigations.
