Crew member jumped overboard a Cruise Line ship in the early hours of Tuesday.
The crew member identified as 55-year-old Dominic Santiago Gubertino from the Philippines fell overboard a Norwegian cruise line on 16th february.
The CCTV footage shows that when the vessel was 50 minutes away from an arrival at Puerto Chacabuco, Aysén Province in Chile at 6:40 AM, the crew member jumped overboard. The officer of the ship did not notice the missing crew member for some time.
When the ship had arrived at port the member was found missing and the Chilean authorities were notified by 10:40 AM. A search was launched but sadly the missing crew member was not found. An investigation has been launched by local authorities.
The vessel did continue its voyage. It is a South American cruise that departed Valparaiso, Chile on February 13 and was will end in Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 27th. The ship carries 1,920 passengers at double occupancy.
