The eighth annual The Maritime Standard Tanker Conference will take place on 8th November 2023 at The Atlantis, the Palm, Dubai, says an article published on their website.
Environmental protection
This year the primary focus of the three conference sessions will be on environmental protection and sustainability, but the event will also highlight some of the key underlying trends affecting the operation of tankers, in the crude oil, product, chemical and gas sectors.
Oil and petrochemical trade
One of the most interesting parts of the Conference will be Session 2 in the afternoon, which will have the theme: Tanker operations in an era of change. This session will focus on the most significant operational issues facing tanker shipowners and operators, and the solutions available to them.
During the session speakers will discuss and debate how owners and operators can best respond to changing oil and petrochemical trade flows in an era of great commercial and political volatility, while other topics such as crew training, recruitment and retention; safety at sea; digitalisation; environmental retrofitting and capon capture options will feature.
