- Swedish shores witness the arrival of sustainable DMA bunker fuel, signaling a transformative shift towards greener maritime operations.
A Green Voyage Begins
ScanOcean, in collaboration with Neste Oyi, marks a pivotal moment in maritime sustainability with the unveiling of a groundbreaking lower-emission DMA Gasoil, achieved through innovative refining techniques and mass-balance methodology.
Navigating a Cleaner Course
The newly introduced DMA Gasoil, enhanced with renewable raw materials via conventional refining processes, emerges as a beacon of eco-friendliness. Notably, this fuel attains remarkable greenhouse gas emissions reductions, up to 80%, compared to its fossil counterpart. It retains fuel quality and ISO 8217 specifications while being certified by ISCC plus.
Sustainable Bunker Fuel Availability
Embarking on a transformative path, the Swedish east coast will now welcome the availability of DMA co-processed with renewable raw materials as bunker fuel. Beyond this, Neste Marine 0.1 Co-processed DMA will also be accessible at the Södertälje ex-pipe facility, standing alongside DMA 0.1 and DMB 0.1, catering to vessels journeying into Lake Mälaren.
