Pirates Strike Offshore Vessels, Snatch Off Two Seafarers

Pirates attacked at least three vessels off Nigeria this week and reports say that two crew members have been abducted from an offshore support vessel off Nigeria.

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)’s Piracy Reporting Centre reports that all of the incidents took place in the waters off Brass.

In another incident pirates reportedly boarded an offshore supply vessel and robbed and kidnapped two crew members, rest are safe.

In one other similar incident reported on Wednesday says  pirates attacked and boarded an offshore supply vessel underway near southwest of Brass, however they managed to escape before Nigerian Navy got into the vessel.  No one was reportedly injured and the vessel got escorted to a safe port by the Navy.
