Hede (Hong Kong) International Shipping is poised to penetrate the Transpacific trade sector, as reported by Seatrade Maritime, reports EN Port News.
Route and Schedule
The company plans to inaugurate a service linking Shanghai to Los Angeles starting in late March.
Departing from Shanghai, the inaugural voyage is expected to take 13 days to reach West Basin Container Terminal, Los Angeles, by early April.
Initial Deployment
Hede intends to deploy two 4,250 TEU vessels for the initial phase of operations on this new service.
It aims to augment its fleet by adding three more vessels to the route by the year’s end.

This initiative marks Hede’s debut in the transpacific market, showcasing its strategic expansion into new trade routes.

Established in Hong Kong, Hede (Hong Kong) International Shipping is a subsidiary of China’s Tangshan Port Hede Shipping, which belongs to Tangshan Port Industrial Group.
Presently, the company primarily offers shipping services catering to China’s domestic trading and short-sea routes, along with connections to Japan and Korea through three services linking Jingtang and Weifang.
