161

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has confirmed a significant increase in container volumes handled by major container lines, including CMA CGM and ONE, in the first five months of 2024.

7.7% Growth in TEUs

Singapore’s ports handled 16.90 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) recently, marking a 7.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This growth reflects the robust demand for shipping capacity. It highlights the collaborative efforts between container lines, PSA, MPA, the Ministry of Transport, and unions to boost container throughput in Singapore.
