Monjasa proudly announces the arrival of the Monjasa Thunder (19,991 DWT) in Panama, marking a significant milestone in maritime innovation and operational flexibility, reports Safety4sea.
Monjasa bolsters Panama Canal tanker fleet
Boasting a substantial storage capacity of nearly 20,000 tonnes and equipped with advanced deep-well cargo pumps and multiple tank segregations, the Monjasa Thunder sets a new standard as an optimal floating storage solution in Panama.
“We are always looking for ways to challenge the status quo and create more flexibility for shipowners in and around the Panama Canal – and combining bunkering, storage and cargo operations is something no one else has done before,” says Rasmus Jacobsen, Managing Director, Monjasa Americas.
Beyond its storage capabilities, the Monjasa Thunder introduces expanded supply chain opportunities, facilitating efficient cargo import and export activities across Panama and its neighboring markets.
“In celebrating Day of the Seafarer 2024, we’re proud to exceed 100 Panamanian seafarers onboard our three owned tankers: Monjasa Supplier, Monjasa Striker, and now the Monjasa Thunder,” Jacobsen added.
